Forum Guidelines
Forum Guidelines
To keep the forum enjoyable, useful and welcoming for everyone, please follow these guidelines when participating in the community.
1. Be Respectful
Treat other members with respect. Disagreements and debates are welcome, but personal attacks, harassment, bullying and deliberately insulting other members are not.
2. Stay On Topic
Try to keep discussions relevant to the section or thread you’re posting in. If a conversation moves into a completely different subject, consider starting a new thread.
3. No Spam
Do not post repetitive content, spam, advertisements or unsolicited promotional material. Avoid posting the same message across multiple sections.
4. No Trolling or Deliberate Disruption
Don’t intentionally provoke arguments, derail discussions or disrupt the community simply to get a reaction.
5. Respect Different Opinions
Members are allowed to have different opinions and perspectives. You can challenge someone’s argument without attacking the person making it.
6. No Harassment
Do not target, threaten, stalk, intimidate or repeatedly antagonise another member, either publicly or privately.
7. Keep Personal Information Private
Don’t post another person’s private or identifying information without their permission. Be careful about sharing your own personal information as well.
8. Post Appropriate Content
Do not post content that is illegal, excessively graphic, sexually explicit where prohibited, or otherwise inappropriate for the forum.
9. No Hate or Discriminatory Content
Content that promotes hatred, dehumanises people, or targets individuals or groups based on protected characteristics is not permitted.
10. Use Appropriate Language
Strong language may be acceptable depending on the section and context, but excessive profanity, abusive language or deliberately offensive content may be removed.
11. Don’t Impersonate Others
Do not pretend to be another member, moderator, public figure or organisation.
12. Don’t Create Multiple Accounts to Evade Rules
Do not create additional accounts to bypass bans, suspensions or other moderation actions.
13. Respect Copyright
Only share material you have the right to share. Don’t post copyrighted content in a way that violates the owner’s rights.
14. Use Descriptive Titles
Give your threads clear and relevant titles so other members can easily understand what the discussion is about.
15. Don’t Abuse the Report System
Use the report function for genuine problems. Don’t submit false, malicious or retaliatory reports against other members.
16. Follow Moderator Instructions
Moderators are responsible for maintaining the forum. If a moderator asks you to stop a particular behaviour or move a discussion, please cooperate.
17. Don’t Attempt to Circumvent Moderation
Do not deliberately alter wording, use coded language or otherwise attempt to bypass the forum’s rules or moderation systems.
18. Avoid Excessive Off-Topic Posting
Occasional conversation is natural, but repeatedly derailing threads or turning discussions into unrelated conversations may result in moderation.
19. Contribute Constructively
Whenever possible, add something meaningful to discussions. Questions, opinions, experiences, humour and debate are all welcome when presented constructively.
20. Common Sense Applies
These rules cannot cover every possible situation. Moderators may take action against behaviour that clearly harms the community even if it isn’t specifically listed above.
Moderation
Depending on the circumstances, rule violations may result in content being edited or removed, warnings, temporary restrictions or permanent bans.
Moderators may consider the context, severity and history of an incident when deciding what action is appropriate.
By participating in the forum, you agree to follow these guidelines and help maintain a respectful and enjoyable community for everyone.
